What is AMBIGUITY?

Ambiguous means nondefinitive. When a word, phrase, clause or a sentence is capable of being interpreted in more than one way, it raises ambiguity. We cannot define its meaning. So, a communication which can acceptably render different connotations is ambiguous.
Example: Visiting guests could be a nuisance.
